Appropriate business casual attire is acceptable for both men and women. Jackets are not required but recommended. Women are encouraged to wear comparable attire. Definition of business casual attire: normally acceptable “dress down” business attire, including shirts with banded collar, slacks, and sports shirts. For women a pantsuit or dress, tailored pants, or skirt paired with a jacket, blouse, or sweater, are appropriate attire. Jeans are acceptable when free of rips or tears, preferably dark in color, and worn with a collared shirt for men and a nice blouse or sweater for women. Sneakers and tennis shoes are not acceptable in the Bar and Grill.

Users of these facilities are asked to bear in mind the varied occasions for which diverse attire may be appropriate. Relaxed Summer Dress Code During the summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day), the Board has authorized a Relaxed McCarthey Bar and Eccles Grill Summer Dress Code after 4 PM every night. Club members and their guests will be permitted to wear dress shorts on the first floor premises of the Club, which includes the McCarthey Bar, Eccles Grill, Billiards Room, Library and Lobby.

No cargo shorts, denim shorts, jogging shorts, cutoffs, gym, biking shorts or swimwear will be allowed. No shorts of any kind will be permitted on the second floor of the Club. Remember, we are jean-friendly all the time on the first floor! Another reminder, as you are considering the relaxed dress code, is to please refrain from t-shirts except if worn with a jacket or blazer.
