The Alta Club Arts Foundation, a Utah non-profit corporation, is a publicly supported organization whose specific pursuit is to raise funds and endowments, to acquire, preserve and display to the general public various works of art, with an emphasis on the preservation and display of artwork specifically related to the history, culture, geography and other aspects of life in the state of Utah and the West.
The Alta Club Arts Foundation builds, improves and maintains an art, antiques, and literature collection of high quality for the enjoyment and edification of its members, their guests and the Salt Lake area community. The collection contains all forms of art, including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, antiques and literature.
The Arts Foundation also serves as a source for artwork
and historic books and papers to museums, libraries, and
educational organizations interested in the display and
study of Utah artwork. The interpretation of art and
literature is effected through public lectures and
presentations and the Foundation’s lending program.
The Foundation may loan artwork on a temporary basis
to museums or other collecting or exhibiting institutions, public schools and libraries. In addition, the foundation encourages scholars, students and the general public to access the Foundation’s collections to study the history and cultural history of Utah and the region.
The Alta Club Arts Foundation was established in 2004 and holds an IRS 501(c)3 status. All of the activities are carried out by the Alta Club Arts Foundation Officers and Trustees.
